Solutions Consultant 1 (Cybersecurity)

Location: Chiyoda, Japan; most teams work from the office full time.

What you will do

• Partner with account managers and partners to build trusted-advisor relationships with prospective and existing customers through continuous high-touch proposal activities.
• Identify customer problems and root causes, develop solution roadmaps, and propose feasible solutions.
• Understand the broad product portfolio and create proposals that optimize end-to-end solutions for customers' medium- and long-term network security plans.
• Develop and present solutions addressing customer cybersecurity challenges.
• Maintain technical leadership across security, networking, AI, data centers, SDN, and public cloud through continuous self-learning.
• Research industry trends and competitors to create effective differentiation proposals.

Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in at least one area such as network security, cloud security, endpoint security, or AI security.
• Experience in technical presales or solution consulting.
• Fundamental networking knowledge, including IP, TCP/IP, routing, and NAT.
• Advanced knowledge of the internet and cybersecurity.
• Strong communication skills for accurately understanding customer intent and developing logical proposals.
• Proactive attitude toward learning and keeping up with new technologies and products.
• Fluent or native-level Japanese proficiency equivalent to Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Level 1.

Nice to have

• Experience managing or leading large-scale projects.
• Experience presenting proposals to CIOs and CXOs.
• Security certifications.
• Business-level English.
