Portfolio Optimization Intern (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Frankfurt, Germany; at least 3 days in the office, with attendance expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager. Full, permanent right to work in Germany is required.

Yearly salary: 51,656 EUR.

What you will do

• Support consulting teams through research, data analysis, and preparation of client deliverables.
• Help financial institutions address portfolio growth, card activation, customer engagement, loyalty, and retention challenges.
• Develop customer segmentation strategies using transaction data.
• Contribute to new Portfolio Optimization products, solutions, tools, and thought leadership content.
• Prepare presentations, insights, and recommendations based on quantitative analysis.
• Collaborate with Consulting, Data Science, and local market teams while supporting project management and practice initiatives.

Requirements

• Be in the penultimate year of university, including further master's degrees or courses, with education completed in 2028.
• Have full, permanent right to work in Germany; hirify.global sponsorship is not provided.
• Professional fluency in English and German.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Curiosity and interest in consulting, financial services, payments, and technology.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
