Contract Senior Data Analyst (SQL, Telemetry, Browser Engine)

Location: Remote UK, Canada, Denmark, France, or Germany

Salary: £58,500–£78,000 GBP annually

What you will do

• Create and maintain high-level dashboards that translate Gecko performance data into formats usable by Product Managers and leadership.
• Audit the Gecko codebase across Desktop and Android to identify missing telemetry collection points and probes.
• Develop methods and tools to detect and filter inconsistent telemetry data, including bot traffic and hardware-specific noise.
• Analyze correlations between technical performance changes, including LCP and eTLD+1 metrics, user-facing pain points, and engagement trends.
• Collaborate with the Performance Team, Data Team, and Product Leadership to support performance guardrails and technical budget decisions.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills, including BigQuery or Redash.
• Proficiency in data visualization using AI tooling.
• Experience with statistical analysis, including Pearson’s correlation and multivariate analysis.
• Ability to understand browser component interactions and their impact on user experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and translate technical requirements into business insights.
• Ability to solve unfamiliar technical problems with minimal guidance using documentation, experimentation, source code, data, and other available resources.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Rust or C++.
• Strong proficiency with AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
