Payment Configuration Specialist (iGaming)

hirify.global_TECH builds and operates B2B iGaming platforms for operators, supporting payment integrations, consulting, and long-term platform operations.

What you will do

• Configure projects, MIDs, payment methods, gateways, and client requests in Back Office according to agreed priorities.
• Review requirements, clarify missing information, and use AI-assisted tools such as Kiro to prepare MID configuration tasks.
• Perform pre-production and production checks, attach evidence to Jira tasks, coordinate testing, launch payment configurations, and verify initial transactions.
• Provide L3 support for configuration issues, investigate logs, API responses, transaction records, and SQL queries, and resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
• Validate API contracts, payloads, webhooks, and callbacks; escalate blockers and risks to the Team Lead.
• Maintain documentation, train merchant teams, support payment launches, and propose improvements to configuration workflows and tools.

Requirements

• At least 1–1.5 years of experience in payment integration configuration, technical operations, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience configuring payment methods and Merchant IDs (MIDs).
• Strong understanding of JSON and XML, including payload structures and provider schemas.
• Experience with REST APIs, API contract validation, and Postman or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of webhooks, callbacks, and payment flows including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and voids.
• Knowledge of 3-D Secure (3DS), Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and MID management.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, manual testing, log analysis tools, CI/CD, and software development lifecycle processes.
• English at B2 level or above and Ukrainian or Russian at B1 level or above.

Nice to have

• Experience in the iGaming industry.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements and fraud prevention controls relevant to payment configuration.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for technical configuration or documentation.
• Experience supporting production launches and resolving payment-related incidents.
