Accounting/Finance Intern

Location: Melbourne, Australia

What you will do

• Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, tax, internal audit, consolidation accounting, business unit finance support, and project accounting activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account analyses, reconciliations, accounting process documentation, and month-end close activities.
• Assist with tax return preparation, financial analysis, budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other analyses.
• Research and plan activities according to generally accepted accounting principles and current tax laws.
• Assist with special projects and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance at an accredited institution.
• At least one year of study remaining and a minimum one-year commitment, including summer, to the internship.
• Motivated and self-directed, with strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check results.

Nice to have

• Experience with Excel.
