IT ERP Functional Analyst, Expert (SAP Ariba)

Location: Hybrid, working remotely and from Oakland, California 1–3 days per week or more based on business needs or company requirements.

Salary: $128,000–$218,000 per year; Bay Area midpoint: $173,000. The role is also eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Serve as the SAP Ariba functional expert for complex initiatives, enhancements, integrations, and production support.
• Analyze end-to-end business processes and identify improvements using SAP Ariba and SAP standard capabilities.
• Lead solution design and configuration for Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Contract Management, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, Supplier Risk Management, and Strategic Sourcing.
• Design and support integrations between SAP Ariba, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and Supply Chain, Finance, and Work Management processes.
• Lead requirements, design, configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, stabilization, and production support throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, technical, vendor, and implementation teams; resolve complex issues, maintain documentation, provide knowledge transfer, and support SOX audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a job-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience implementing Ariba modules.
• Experience with IT project methodology, SAP integrations, and data analysis.
• Ability to independently analyze and design solutions for highly complex projects with minimal guidance.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs, configurations, process flows, functional specifications, test scenarios, test plans, and test scripts.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex application and integration issues and provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Fieldglass for Service Procurement and other Supply Chain products.
• Utility experience.
• SAP certifications.
