Repossession Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Las Vegas, NV, United States; onsite

Salary: $21.60–$25.00 per hour, plus eligible annual discretionary cash bonus target of 10% and restricted stock units bonus target of 10%.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end repossession process for active, charged-off, and accelerated auto loans.
• Conduct skip tracing, validate borrower information, coordinate repossession vendors, and resolve accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of bankruptcies, repossessions, and charge-offs according to Metro 2 standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain complete documentation and records supporting compliance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze trends in defaults, bankruptcies, and recoveries and provide portfolio risk insights to management.
• Coordinate with vendors, legal, compliance, loan servicing, and other internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve recovery workflows.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in auto loan repossession, collections, or recovery within the financial services or automotive industry.
• Experience managing repossession processes, including skip tracing, vendor coordination, and account resolution.
• Knowledge of credit reporting practices and Metro 2 guidelines, including reporting of bankruptcies, repossessions, and charge-offs.
• Hands-on experience with loan servicing systems, general ledger accounting, and administrative duties related to recovery and credit reporting.
• Familiarity with regulations governing repossessions, credit bureau reporting, bankruptcies, and charge-offs, including FCRA, UDAAP, FDCPA, and SCRA.
• Track record of maintaining compliant and accurate documentation and credit reporting while meeting operational deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to manage multiple repossession workflows, credit reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements simultaneously.
• Commitment to ongoing training in repossession practices, bankruptcy management, credit reporting, and regulatory changes.
