Senior Collections Specialist (Consumer & Small Business Lending)

Location: Remote within Oregon, Washington, or Idaho; listed locations are Portland, Oregon, Walla Walla, Washington, Boise, Idaho, and Seattle, Washington. Travel: 0%.

Salary: $24.19–$31.87 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Manage collection and recovery activities for consumer, small business QuickStep, and credit card accounts, including complex delinquency and recovery situations.
• Evaluate account performance and risk factors, analyze delinquent accounts, and recommend short- and long-term recovery strategies.
• Prepare recommendations for repossession, litigation, charge-offs, and other significant recovery actions.
• Administer bankruptcy accounts, including correspondence, court reporting, and coordination of recovery activities.
• Communicate with borrowers about late payments, collection efforts, demand letters, repayment arrangements, and account resolution options.
• Prepare monthly collection reports, monitor delinquency levels, support loss mitigation, and escalate compliance concerns while following bank policies, security standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 4 years of experience in collections, recovery, loan servicing, or a related financial services function, including experience managing complex delinquent accounts and collection activities.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement.
