Data Quality Analyst (Short-Term Rental Data)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid workplace; standard working hours from 11 am to 7 pm

What you will do

• Conduct exploratory data analysis on short-term rental pricing and occupancy datasets to identify patterns, trends, and outliers.
• Collaborate with domain experts to understand factors influencing pricing and occupancy dynamics in the short-term rental market.
• Analyze predictive models and adapt them to changing market conditions and business requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate new data sources and maintain data quality for modeling.
• Work with product managers, engineers, and business analysts to implement pricing strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Build monitoring systems, identify model issues or deviations, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience working with data, with a focus on software development and advanced analytics.
• Full proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python, including pandas, datetime, numpy, dictionaries, and packages.
• Experience working with large datasets in distributed systems such as Snowflake.
• Excellent communication skills, a data-driven approach, critical thinking, attention to detail, flexibility, time management, and a learning mindset.
• Comfort working with data validation, models, and data architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, developing, and deploying software solutions powered by data science and analytics.
• Experience with Python data manipulation and analysis libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
