Power BI & Business Systems Analyst (Power BI)

Location: Remote (PST hours)

Salary: $30–$33/hr for candidates based in Washington State.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, KPI tracking, project readiness views, quality metrics, and leadership reporting.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate operational needs into system requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage enhancement requests through intake, triage, prioritization, status tracking, and coordination with engineering and reporting teams.
• Coordinate UAT, including test planning, scenarios, tester engagement, defect tracking, retesting, and release readiness.
• Validate data accuracy and improve data quality, business rules, taxonomies, reporting definitions, and operational workflows.
• Support commissioning, quality, governance, steering committee reporting, training materials, feature releases, and platform adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Experience defining KPIs and metrics, validating data, and translating operational information into actionable insights.
• Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and documenting system, process, or reporting requirements.
• Experience with business systems, data quality management, workflow improvement, and reporting processes.
• Ability to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and enhancement documentation.
• Experience coordinating or supporting UAT, including defect documentation, retesting, and release readiness.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment across teams and time zones; availability for approximately 12–18 months of continued tenure.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting commissioning in data centers or other mission-critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, utilities, healthcare infrastructure, energy, or other complex engineering environments.
• Familiarity with construction quality and commissioning workflows, including NCRs, audits, ITPs, test scripts, RFIs, turnover, and closeout.
• Experience with enterprise business platforms, enhancement requests, system governance, release processes, data taxonomies, business rules, database structures, or operational data standards.
• Experience developing regional reporting, executive dashboards, project readiness views, and operational performance metrics.
• Familiarity with governance forums, steering committees, user champion networks, and change adoption initiatives.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology or infrastructure organizations.
