Resident Consultant/Network Architect

Location: Remote/Teleworker, primarily working from home, limited to the United States; salary specified for New Jersey.

Salary: USD 123,500–285,000 annual base salary in New Jersey, United States. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology across multiple engineering disciplines and organizations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships against technology roadmaps and business value.
• Create integration and technology-update plans for new architectural capabilities.
• Review designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development standards, incorporating relevant improvements and innovations.
• Influence executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups using domain expertise and business acumen.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, another engineering discipline, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 10+ years of experience.
• Experience using, evaluating, and developing engineering design tools and software packages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reviewing material specifications and hardware and electrical component designs.
• Experience evaluating and selecting empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
• A history of innovation, including examples of developing new technologies and design practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with mastery of English and the local language.
• Ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals effectively and negotiate options at business-unit and executive levels.
