Mid-Level QA Analyst/Test Script Writer (ServiceNow): Developing and executing manual test scripts for mission-critical systems with an accent on requirements traceability, defect management, and functional, integration, performance, regression, and security testing. Focus on translating complex technical and business requirements into comprehensive test coverage, preparing test data, and validating fixes with developers and stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid in McLean, Virginia, United States, with work based at corporate offices in Tyson's Corner, Virginia
Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do
- Develop clear, structured manual test scripts covering prerequisites, test data, user roles, navigation steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteria.
- Execute tests, document results, capture evidence, and report defects with reproducible steps in Jira.
- Contribute to functional, integration, performance, regression, compliance, and security testing.
- Maintain traceability across requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and defects.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps, UI/UX designers, testers, and stakeholders to clarify issues and verify fixes.
- Prepare test data, review test results, maintain documentation in SharePoint and Microsoft Word, and contribute to user testing guides and process improvements.
Requirements
- Must be clearable for DoD Public Trust or higher.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of software testing experience.
- Experience with Jira, test case design, test planning, defect management, API testing, and performance testing.
- Experience with Scrum and SAFe agile frameworks, plus DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I.
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to simplify complex system processes in writing.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ServiceNow navigation, modules, and automated testing frameworks.
- Existing DoD Public Trust and experience with DLA, DoD, or government testing standards.
- Knowledge of APIs, JSON, flat file data exchange, and security and compliance testing.
