Summer 2027 Intern - Product Engineer (Coil Product)

What you will do

• Support technical evaluhirify.globalons of sheet, plate, coil, and other manufactured metal products.
• Review material specifichirify.globalons, customer requirements, product standards, and internal manufacturing practices.
• Analyze chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment results, and material performance data.
• Support investighirify.globalons into product quality, process varihirify.globalon, nonconforming material, and customer concerns by identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Work with manufacturing, quality, metallurgy, and operhirify.globalons teams on plant trials, product testing, product development, qualifichirify.globalon, and process improvement.
• Collect and interpret production and laboratory data and prepare technical reports, presenthirify.globalons, charts, and project summaries.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
• Strong interest in metals manufacturing, product engineering, materials processing, metallurgy, or industrial problem-solving.
• Basic understanding of chemistry, material properties, phase transformhirify.globalons, heat treatment, corrosion, mechanical testing, or failure analysis concepts.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze technical data.
• Strong problem-solving, communichirify.globalon, and organizhirify.globalonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applichirify.globalons, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and environmental requirements in office, laboratory, and plant environments.

Nice to have

• Prior laboratory, manufacturing, quality, or engineering internship experience.
