Early Careers – Product Engineering Developer Intern

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX; Flex employees are expected to work in the office at least three days per week. Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay range: $19.13–$34.17 per hour.

What you will do

• Participate in a formal ten-week paid internship supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions.
• Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from a mentor and manager.
• Research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations for real business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams and support initiatives that improve business and member or client outcomes.
• Learn and apply organizational processes, programs, and technologies with increasing independence.
• Deliver a final presentation to department leadership covering the project, results, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree as a rising senior, with a major in computer science, information technology, or information systems; related degrees may be considered.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Availability for the full ten-week program.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving, communication, innovation, creativity, initiative, and continuous-learning skills.
• Interest in learning the healthcare industry and participating in knowledge exchange with peers.

Nice to have

• Background in AI, Python, cloud engineering, AWS, Java, JavaScript, or SQL.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Salesforce, microservices, or Mulesoft.
• Interest in cloud native computing, site reliability engineering, Mule, eGateway, or prompt engineering.
• Experience in data analytics.
• Exposure to Hadoop, Pig, Talend, or similar tools.
