AI Product Engineer

Location: San Francisco Bay Area; hybrid work

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered features across front-end, back-end, and data workflows.
• Prototype and ship internal tools and customer-facing applications using modern web technologies.
• Work with product managers and engineers to translate customer problems into product requirements and integrate AI models into software systems.
• Analyze data, evaluate AI outputs, and improve the performance, reliability, and usability of deployed applications.
• Build production systems that modernize government workflows, improve healthcare outcomes, or optimize critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field in Spring 2027.
• Demonstrate strong software development fundamentals through internships, research, substantial coursework, or personal projects.
• Build software using several of Python, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, SQL, and cloud platforms.
• Understand the fundamentals of AI systems and product thinking, with interest in real-world machine learning applications.
• Solve ambiguous problems and learn quickly in fast-paced environments.
• Communicate clearly, collaborate well, and take ownership of work.
• Be excited to work directly on impactful, practical problems rather than purely theoretical projects.
