Base pay: $89,965–$117,212 per year; eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AWS production services, APIs, event-driven components, message flows, background processing, and data interfaces connecting cloud, SaaS, ERP, and internal applications.
• Own complex technical initiatives end to end, including requirements, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, stabilization, and ongoing support.
• Build reusable platform services, components, frameworks, and implementation patterns for application teams, and provide technical guidance on their adoption.
• Build AI-enabled capabilities using large language model APIs, structured outputs, tool and function calling, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Establish engineering standards for API design, messaging, data transformation, resiliency, observability, security, and operational support.
• Contribute to architecture, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, technical direction, and mentoring while collaborating with product, architecture, security, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, business application, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting production software, backend services, or APIs.
• Experience delivering cloud-native solutions on a major public cloud, with meaningful depth in AWS.
• Experience integrating SaaS, cloud, packaged, ERP, and internally developed applications, and supporting large-scale business-critical systems with on-call or production-support responsibility.
• Ability to independently lead complex technical work across multiple systems and cross-functional teams, lead design and code reviews, set standards, and mentor engineers.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis across application code, APIs, messaging, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including explaining technical decisions, alternatives, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment while balancing delivery, production support, and modernization.
• Hands-on AWS experience with compute such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, or EC2; S3; messaging such as SQS, SNS, EventBridge, or Kafka; managed databases such as RDS or DynamoDB; IAM, secrets, encryption, VPC, security groups, private connectivity, scaling, resiliency, cost awareness, and CloudWatch or comparable tooling.
• Strong REST API design and versioning skills, including JSON, XML, HTTP semantics, API contracts, API gateways, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, authentication, authorization, data transformation, reconciliation, message queues, and SFTP or S3 ingestion patterns.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Java, C#, Node.js or TypeScript, or Go; strong SQL and relational database skills; Git workflows; automated testing; CI/CD; deployment automation; release management; infrastructure as code; and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience building software with large language model APIs, including prompt design, structured outputs, streaming, token and cost management, error handling, tool or function calling, retrieval, embeddings, vector search, evaluation, regression testing, guardrails, prompt-injection risk management, and human oversight.
• Fluent use of AI-assisted development tools with independent review and validation against engineering, security, privacy, and quality standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent orchestration, multi-step planning and tool-use workflows, Model Context Protocol or comparable approaches, Kafka, Solace, protocol adapters, change data capture, real-time replication, schema and contract management, distributed tracing, dashboards, and observability.
• Experience in SOX, PCI, or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience integrating Oracle E Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle Integration Cloud, Workday, Coupa, Concur, Quantum Treasury, or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Treasury, Projects, or Supply Chain processes.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting teams adopting shared platform services.
