AI Engineer, DevOps Platform & Security

Location: Based in or able to work from Warsaw, Poland, or São Paulo, Brazil, near a Bain office.

What you will do

• Provision and manage Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, managed services, container orchestration, API management, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI backend services, frontend applications, and data pipelines, including testing, deployment, quality gates, release coordination, rollbacks, and incident response.
• Maintain development, staging, and production environment parity, developer onboarding tooling, documentation, and local development environments.
• Implement monitoring and alerting with structured logging, metrics, service-health dashboards, and meaningful alert thresholds.
• Build AI and agentic observability capabilities, including execution tracing, LLM API usage and latency monitoring, and structured logging for multi-step workflows.
• Support incident diagnosis and remediation while contributing to SLOs, reliability standards, and platform improvements for live enterprise deployments.

Requirements

• 3 or more years in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering, including hands-on cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline work.
• Solid foundation in Azure or AWS compute, networking, storage, and managed services, with growing proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and version-controlled infrastructure changes.
• Working experience building, maintaining, and debugging CI/CD stages covering automated testing, artifact management, and deployments.
• Proficiency with Docker and containerized deployments, plus working familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration in production.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and Python and Bash scripting for infrastructure automation.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting, including structured logging, metrics collection, and alerting rules.
• Understanding of cloud-native security fundamentals, including IAM, secrets management, network security, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience operating production infrastructure and deployment systems used by real services and users; strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and experience in agile, cross-functional product teams.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice to have

• Exposure to or genuine interest in MLOps and AI infrastructure, including LLM service deployment and monitoring, agentic system infrastructure, or vector database workloads.
• Active use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate infrastructure work, diagnose issues, and develop AI infrastructure skills.
