Senior Privacy Program Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, United States

Salary: $180K–$230K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Turn Legal’s privacy strategy into a prioritized program plan with owners, dependencies, and six- and twelve-month outcomes.
• Maintain records of processing, privacy requirements for data inventories, privacy notices, subprocessors, and customer commitments.
• Run PIAs, DPIAs, transfer and legitimate interests assessments, AI assessments, vendor privacy diligence, and privacy rights requests.
• Embed privacy and AI reviews into product development and operate the documentation and evidence processes for AI governance.
• Map retention and deletion requirements across systems and coordinate remediation with Engineering and Data Platform.
• Automate routine privacy work, create role-specific training, and report program metrics to Legal and EPD leadership.

Requirements

• 6 to 8+ years of experience building and running privacy programs or privacy operations at a technology company, ideally in high-growth B2B SaaS, data, or AI.
• Hands-on experience with privacy requests, data mapping, PIAs, DPIAs, vendor diligence, and consent management.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other US state privacy laws, with judgment about when to involve Legal.
• AI fluency, including understanding how LLM features and agents use data and applying frameworks such as the EU AI Act.
• Technical fluency sufficient to follow data across systems and APIs and ask engineers precise questions.
• Experience building a privacy program from scratch and establishing it with teams that did not report to you.
• Clear, plain writing and regular use of AI and automation to eliminate routine work.
• CIPM or equivalent certification.
• A law degree is not required.

Nice to have

• CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPT, or AIGP certification.
• Hands-on AI governance experience, including AI inventories, AI impact assessments, ISO/IEC 42001, or the NIST AI RMF.
• Experience at a B2B data or enrichment company, or with data partnerships and licensing.
• Experience with Transcend, OneTrust, DataGrail, or similar privacy platforms.
• Experience with hirify.global or with building GTM workflows.
