Location: New York City, United States; on-site with a commitment to 5–6 days in person

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, order forms, DPAs, and pilot agreements with enterprise customers.
• Partner with go-to-market teams on complex deals and address legal and procurement objections.
• Lead privacy and data protection work covering GDPR, CCPA, customer data handling, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and customer security reviews.
• Track emerging AI laws and regulatory guidance and translate them into practical internal policies.
• Manage trademarks, open-source usage, intellectual property terms, employment matters, equity, vendor agreements, corporate governance, and financings.
• Build scalable legal templates, playbooks, and operating processes.

Requirements

• 4–10 years of legal experience, including experience at a top law firm and in-house at a technology company.
• Juris Doctor degree and active bar admission.
• Commercially minded approach with the ability to distinguish material risks and close deals efficiently.
• Technical fluency and willingness to understand agentic systems and data flows while working directly with engineers.
• Ability to work credibly with general counsel, procurement, and security teams at large organizations.
• Clear communication skills, including concise memos and actionable legal advice.
• Resourcefulness, speed, networking ability, and comfort operating without an established playbook.
• Active listening, openness to feedback, and an outcome-focused approach.

• Early-stage startup experience.
• Experience with AI, data privacy, or enterprise SaaS.
• Experience negotiating with financial institutions or Fortune 500 companies.
• Familiarity with financial services regulation.
