Senior Technical Project Manager (AI)

Location: Remote-first; remote work may be occasional or permanent. Reliable cable or fiber-optic broadband with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required for remote work.

What you will do

• Co-manage the AI roadmap and maintain a prioritized backlog aligned with business objectives, research breakthroughs, and operational deployment timelines.
• Identify and evaluate generative AI, predictive modeling, and multi-agent architecture opportunities based on technical feasibility, compute constraints, and delivery velocity.
• Coordinate cross-functional AI initiatives, manage dependencies across teams, and drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking in Jira and Confluence.
• Triage systemic issues across data pipelines, backend services, and model deployment layers; coordinate release windows, deployments, and maintenance activities.
• Define and report AI delivery, model iteration, dataset processing, time-to-production, compute-cost, and ROI metrics.
• Manage AI training, technical workshops, knowledge-sharing programs, and adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools across technology teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related technical field with 7+ years of technical project management experience, or a master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning versus prompting, model evaluation, and data pipeline infrastructure.
• Ability to write and execute basic-to-intermediate SQL queries for validating, inspecting, and analyzing training and production datasets.
• Ability to interpret backend web application components, system architecture, and data relationships.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted engineering productivity tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or automated workflow agents.
• Experience deploying production-grade generative AI features, agentic workflows, or NLP applications.
• Exposure to incident management or high-pressure production support in cloud computing environments.
