Staff Product Manager, AI for Care

Location: Hybrid in San Bruno, California, United States. Qualified applicants must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

US base salary: $169,500–$254,500 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the AI Platform and its Evaluation Harness.
• Build reusable evaluation tools for AI developers across customers, healthcare verticals, and clinical risk levels.
• Lead continuous discovery, delivery, and iteration by mapping end-user journeys and unmet needs.
• Work with software architects, engineers, and data scientists on platform architecture and AI tradeoffs.
• Partner with clinical, regulatory, quality, security, and data science experts to align solutions with healthcare constraints.
• Lead engineers and AI developers while setting 12-month strategy, longer-term vision, milestones, delivery roadmaps, and sprint priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience on platform products, with experience embedded in engineering scrum teams and shipping and operating products.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI evaluation products used by customers, including LLM-as-a-judge frameworks, golden datasets, code assertions, and trace tooling.
• Background in software engineering, systems engineering, data science, clinical informatics, or a comparable discipline.
• Ability to review architecture with engineers, analyze LLM behavior with data scientists, and communicate with technical stakeholders credibly.
• Experience aligning technical and non-technical leaders around a product vision and resolving conflicting stakeholder priorities.
• Experience owning a multi-tenant, version-controlled platform in a high-growth environment, including tenancy, versioning, and backward-compatibility tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Healthcare domain fluency, including FHIR resources, clinical informatics, and interoperability standards.
• Experience with HIPAA, GxP, FDA SaMD, or other healthcare compliance frameworks, including validation or audit evidence in products.
• Experience building evaluations for clinical or high-stakes AI outputs such as summarization, coding, triage, or decision support, including clinician-in-the-loop labeling and adjudication.
