Software Engineer II (Go)

Location: United States (Remote); remote in-country

Salary: US Tier 1 $148,000–$194,250; US Tier 2 $133,200–$174,825; US Tier 3 $118,400–$155,400 annually, with equity offers.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and ship scoped features and improvements for hirify.global Cloud.
• Build services for namespace provisioning, configuration, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop data pipelines processing high-volume usage and operational data across multiple tenants.
• Improve operability through testing, instrumentation, dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, incident response, and production debugging.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver projects safely and improve developer and customer experience.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production backend systems in a cloud environment.
• Proficiency in Go or another applicable backend or systems language, with the ability to ramp up in an existing codebase.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency basics, testing, and debugging.
• Working knowledge of distributed-systems concepts including reliability, fault tolerance, consistency, scaling, and failure handling.
• Experience with databases, data pipelines, messaging systems, or object storage.
• Ability to break down scoped problems, implement solutions end to end, and incorporate feedback.
• Operational mindset with familiarity with logging, metrics, tracing, deployment, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate progress, risks, and technical tradeoffs clearly.
• Commitment to correctness, maintainability, and improving existing systems.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of work experience.
• Experience with Go, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Kinesis, Firehose, S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, or other object-storage systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and hirify.global concepts.
• Experience supporting on-call rotations, investigating incidents, or improving production observability.
• Strong interest in learning the hirify.global platform.
