Software Engineer (Snowpark Container Service)

Location: Hybrid, US-WA-Bellevue; ability to work on-site in the downtown Bellevue office is required.

Salary: $160K–$230K annually.

Snowflake provides a cloud data platform and is developing Snowpark Container Services as part of its Snowflake Compute Platform.

What you will do

• Design and develop features for Snowpark Container Services while understanding customer requirements and business goals.
• Lead and mentor engineers and establish technical direction and strategy for large, critical product areas.
• Manage project delivery across design, coding, reviews, testing, observability, tooling, and on-call support.
• Build reliable and fault-tolerant software for large-scale customers.
• Maintain operational readiness, reliability, availability, debuggability, performance, and maintainability.
• Design and build Kubernetes-based, OCI-compliant container compute capabilities that scale with changing customer and business needs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience building features and capabilities for large-scale systems or infrastructure-level platforms.
• Extremely strong computer science fundamentals and experience building distributed systems.
• Ability to work on-site in the downtown Bellevue office.
• Ability to work across functions and teams and collaborate beyond owned code.
• Team-oriented approach with a commitment to transparency, knowledge sharing, and helping colleagues.

Nice to have

• Hands-on coding experience in Java, C++, or Go.
• Passion for learning and growing in an early-stage product area.
