Principal Product Manager (AI)

Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; onsite collaboration and critical incident escalations may be required.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and backlog for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, enterprise agents, and AI solutions.
• Prioritize use cases and investments based on business value, risk, cost, technical feasibility, governance, and platform capacity.
• Evaluate Microsoft AI and automation capabilities and lead prototyping, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and solution enhancement.
• Establish governance, standards, lifecycle processes, support models, and release readiness requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Architecture teams on AI governance and platform reliability.
• Lead complex incident resolution, adoption and change management, stakeholder engagement, and measurement of platform health, business impact, licensing, consumption, cost, and operational risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, plus 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, product management, platform ownership, or technical delivery.
• Product leadership experience covering roadmap ownership, backlog prioritization, stakeholder management, trade-off analysis, and outcome-driven delivery.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and enterprise AI or automation solutions, including a record of driving adoption and business value.
• Hands-on experience designing, configuring, testing, and supporting solutions with Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Direct experience with Microsoft Purview, information protection, governance, and compliance, including translating security requirements into implementation plans.
• Broad knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including identity management, permissions, integrations, content access, and platform dependencies.
• Experience leading technical troubleshooting, major incident response, third-level escalations, and cross-functional resolution efforts.
• Experience building scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and delivery processes in fast-paced or resource-constrained environments while influencing without direct authority.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, relevant Microsoft certifications, and the ability to support onsite collaboration and critical incident escalations when required.

Nice to have

• Experience building and scaling teams, leading cross-functional initiatives, and partnering with change management teams on adoption, enablement, and business value realization.
• Expertise in Power Platform governance, including Dataverse, connector governance, application lifecycle management, production readiness, enterprise agent lifecycle management, and monitoring agent performance and ownership.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, APIs, scripting, automation, Microsoft licensing analysis, consumption forecasting, cost optimization, vendor-led implementations, and knowledge transfer.
• Additional Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Copilot, or AI technologies.
