Staff Product Manager (AI)

Location: Remote - Canada

Base salary: $272,739–$320,829 CAD, based on level of experience

What you will do

• Define AI product strategy by synthesizing AI trends, customer needs, and technical capabilities into strategic recommendations.
• Own the roadmap for AI across the product experience, including Canvas, Skills, Auto-Investigations, and the MCP server.
• Research how customers adopt AI in engineering workflows and identify patterns that signal future market needs.
• Guide product teams on AI opportunities, approaches, trade-offs, and shared capabilities across the portfolio.
• Explain hirify.global’s perspective on AI observability to customers, internal teams, and technical communities through writing, speaking, and community engagement.
• Partner closely with engineering, design, AI strategy, research and development, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 1+ year shipping AI/ML-powered products.
• Experience taking AI features from concept to customer impact, including learning from unsuccessful initiatives.
• Deep understanding of how engineering teams build, deploy, and operate AI systems.
• Familiarity with current AI/ML techniques and the judgment to evaluate when they are applicable.
• Ability to synthesize research, customer feedback, and technical trends into coherent strategy and make decisions amid ambiguity.
• Technical depth sufficient to earn the respect of engineers and architects, including the ability to evaluate RAG, fine-tuning, model selection, and other AI trade-offs.
• Understanding of observability principles and their importance in production systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex ideas to varied audiences and present to customers, executives, and technical audiences.
• Ability to influence without authority across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, along with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to stay current in fast-moving AI domains, intellectual humility, and enthusiasm for connecting AI technology with real customer problems.
