Esri ArcGIS Developer

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid schedule with preference for local candidates able to work from the office. Fixed Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, starting between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Eastern Time.

hirify.global is providing consulting services to the Georgia Department of Transportation Enterprise GIS Team, supporting enterprise GIS applications, services, databases, and users.

What you will do

• Configure and develop custom Esri ArcGIS Enterprise applications using ArcGIS JavaScript API, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Hub, and Field Maps.
• Develop customized web, web service, mobile, enterprise, geoprocessing, editing, and mapping solutions.
• Integrate GIS applications with SharePoint websites, .NET applications, Oracle and SQL Server databases, data warehouses, and enterprise reporting platforms.
• Design, code, test, debug, maintain, upgrade, and migrate applications and services.
• Conduct performance, unit, system, integration, and quality assurance testing and provide end-user support and documentation.
• Work with database, network, server, architecture, development, management, and business teams to estimate effort and design solutions.

Requirements

• Application programming, development, implementation, and support experience.
• Experience developing with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise 10.x and 11.x.
• Ability to translate business requirements and user stories into secure, commented, maintainable code.
• Ability to research and analyze system problems, provide resolutions, and complete system documentation.
• Ability to follow internal SDLC processes, standards, guidelines, and accepted development best practices.
• Availability for a fixed Monday–Friday, 8-hour schedule totaling 40 hours per week.
• Suitable internet connection and work environment for compliance with GDOT telework policies.
• Access to a cell phone for business calls.

Nice to have

• Ability to work a hybrid schedule and regularly come into the Atlanta office; local candidates are preferred.

• Work within an Enterprise GIS Team consisting of ArcGIS developers, system administrators, a data manager, and a team leader.
• Collaborate with supporting IT teams and business units across database, network, server, architecture, and development functions.
• Support GIS solutions used by more than 180 ArcGIS Desktop users and approximately 60,000 annual ArcGIS Server web visits.
• Thirteen holidays are provided; consultants may not work or make up time during those holiday weeks without management approval.
• Authorized business travel expenses for lodging, meals, and personal vehicle use are reimbursed according to State of Georgia policy. Commuting, parking, relocation, and travel to start work are not reimbursed.

Hiring process

• Hybrid-work capacity and the number of days the candidate can come into the office will be discussed during interviews.
• The initial contract runs through the end of the GDOT fiscal year and may be renewed in one-year increments; extensions are not guaranteed.
