Network Operations Center

Location: Mechanicsburg, PA, USA; limited travel to DOC/PBPP facilities is required for Cisco equipment refresh activities.

What you will do

• Process network connection change requests, validate request information, update connection databases, and modify LAN switch, router, DHCP, and port-security configurations.
• Monitor network availability systems, respond to device outage alarms, verify site power, troubleshoot LAN switches, routers, and firewalls, and issue outage and restoration communications.
• Configure and replace failed network equipment, including coordinating shipments or delivery and replacement activities with field site personnel.
• Process, monitor, and escalate telecommunications provider tickets for WAN circuit failures.
• Provide second-level support for network connection issues by reviewing interface configurations and statistics, correcting configuration discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment inventory and support Cisco end-of-life equipment refresh, wireless deployments, equipment surplus processing, and other projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of network engineering experience across WAN, LAN, and TCP/IP infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• At least 3 years of knowledge and experience with BGP, TCP/IP, HSRP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLAN, and MPLS protocols.
• Ability to work in IDF closets, including running cables, lifting equipment into racks, and using small hand tools.

Nice to have

• CCNP certification.
• Experience with Cisco DNAC.
• Experience with Cisco wireless access points and controllers.
