Network Engineer III (Cisco)

Location: Savannah, GA, United States. Some international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Design, configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, and data communication networks.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, VLANs, wireless systems, cabling, and related network hardware.
• Monitor network performance, health, traffic, connectivity, latency, and security; resolve incidents and service disruptions.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, vulnerability assessments, and security policies.
• Support network upgrades, expansions, migrations, capacity planning, disaster recovery, backups, and integration of new technologies.
• Maintain network documentation, asset inventories, purchase and warranty records, and provide technical support and guidance to administrators, developers, and junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience as a network engineer.
• Required CCNA Routing and Switching certification.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting network equipment from Cisco, Juniper, or other major vendors.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Cisco ACS, Cisco WCS, Cisco WLC, Cisco MARS, and Stealthwatch.
• Basic knowledge of network security principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, MIS, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• CCNA Wireless certification.
• CCNA Voice certification.
• Relevant certifications such as Network+ or equivalent.
• Experience with Wi-Fi 6 and 5G networks.
