Contract Manager (AI)

Salary: CAD 86,800–130,200 per year

What you will do

• Lead inbound procurement contract negotiations and ongoing contract lifecycle management across HR, benefits, payroll, travel, marketing and events, contingent labour, corporate services, real estate, facilities, and IT.
• Draft, evaluate, review, interpret, and negotiate supplier agreements and statements of work in accordance with legal standards.
• Develop contract strategies and lead negotiations through change orders, disputes, corrective actions, and contract close-out.
• Research global data protection laws, review privacy impact assessments, and support related data protection activities.
• Review and transition supplier contracts resulting from mergers and acquisitions, ensuring contracts are captured in the contract repository and managed on an ongoing basis.
• Assess contractual risks and opportunities, collaborate with global stakeholders, and educate procurement teams on legal, contracting, and risk-management practices.

Requirements

• JD, LLB, or an equivalent legal qualification, with at least three years of post-qualification experience.
• Two to four years of commercial contract management or legal experience.
• CCCM, CPCM, or a similar contract management certification, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of common law and/or civil law.
• Experience assessing and mitigating supplier data privacy and information security risks, including contractual, regulatory, and operational risks.
• Experience negotiating Data Processing Agreements and information security terms.
• CIPP or an equivalent recognized privacy certification is required.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate with, influence, and engage organizational levels through executives.
• Experience working with cross-functional global teams, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-changing environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
