DevOps Engineer I (Cloud/CI/CD)

Location: Folsom, California, United States; in-office role with the ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required.

Estimated starting salary: $86,141.20–$118,444.15 annually.

What you will do

• Assist with developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes.
• Support cloud-based infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident response.
• Maintain documentation for processes, tools, and DevOps best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on improvements.
• Implement DevOps practices aligned with industry-specific compliance and security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree, with at least 4 years of related experience required in the absence of a degree.
• 0–2 years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and experience with Azure or AWS.
• Basic scripting skills and scripting experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, communicate frequently with team members and stakeholders, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, ARM Templates, Chef, or Puppet.
• Cloud technology certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with YAML-based CI/CD pipelines using AWS, Azure, or GitHub.
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python Boto3, AWS CLI, or Azure CLI.
• M365/O365 experience and identity architecture knowledge, including SAML, OAuth, Azure AD, or Okta.
• Visio and diagramming skills or experience.
• Azure Government or AWS Government experience.
• Experience with Checkmarx, Fortify, SonarQube, Aqua, or Twistlock.
