Manager/Senior Manager - Data Science

Location: Based in Thousand Oaks, California, with client-site attendance required 3–5 days per week. U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $119,500–$163,875 annually. The stated range is based on a primary work location in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, and may vary by geographic location.

What you will do

• Build and optimize ML models for pharmaceutical commercial use cases, including patient journey modeling, patient identification, treatment progression, churn prediction, HCP targeting, and Next Best Action.
• Develop deep learning and sequence models, including Transformers, LSTM/GRU, and attention-based architectures, for longitudinal patient journeys and temporal patterns.
• Design HCP- and patient-level datasets by integrating claims, laboratory, specialty pharmacy, hub, CRM, promotional, and sales data.
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines covering data engineering, model training, validation, monitoring, and deployment.
• Apply traditional ML techniques such as XGBoost and LightGBM, with model evaluation, benchmarking, and SHAP-based explainability.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for brand, sales operations, and commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on data science experience, preferably in U.S. pharma or biotech.
• Strong Python, PySpark, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and AWS or Azure skills.
• Practical experience with Transformer architectures and sequence modeling.
• Experience with Databricks, SQL, and MLflow for end-to-end ML pipelines.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work at the client site in Thousand Oaks 3–5 days per week.
