Graduate Firmware Engineer (AI)

Location: Bristol, UK. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme and must not require visa sponsorship.

Salary: £45,000 per annum.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver firmware for next-generation hirify.global products.
• Build software supporting hardware bootup, power control, telemetry, and monitoring.
• Work with silicon and hardware teams on software and hardware interfaces.
• Write firmware to engineering standards, review code, and contribute to technical discussions.
• Investigate firmware issues and contribute to continuous integration, build systems, software packaging, and Agile practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Maths, or a related field.
• Introductory experience with C or Python, demonstrated through coursework, a dissertation, personal or team projects, research, or other relevant experience.
• Understanding of continuous integration, build systems, and software packaging best practices.
• Interest in real-time embedded software, verification, or complex embedded platforms.
• Curiosity about server architecture, device drivers, operating system kernel development, or server firmware security.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, take responsibility, and contribute to technical discussions with colleagues across teams.
