Procurement Manager (Thermal Control Systems/ECLSS)

Location: Bordeaux, France. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates willing to relocate, including visa sponsorship where applicable.

What you will do

• Take responsibility for potential and contracted suppliers within the Thermal Control System and ECLSS perimeter.
• Execute and improve the source-to-contract process, including scouting, RfX, bid evaluation, down selection, contract negotiation, award, and execution.
• Supervise suppliers end to end, both before and after contract signature.
• Support the engineering team in defining and modifying the make-or-buy strategy for the relevant perimeter.
• Collaborate with and challenge suppliers to meet cost and schedule targets, including EAC targets.
• Manage risks and opportunities, maintain accurate procurement databases, and report regularly to the manager.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or business law, or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience working with complex contracts related to a technical product; sales, bid management, procurement, or commodity management experience qualifies.
• Proven experience working in a complex technical environment where new technologies are developed.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues from technical disciplines and functions.
• Ability to manage a high workload autonomously, prioritize urgent items, and proactively inform stakeholders when something is late or at risk.
• Ability to drive contract signing and execution while focusing on key deliverables.
