Manager, Programming Infrastructure & Analytics Enablement (R)

Location: Fully remote; can be performed from anywhere. Occasional travel for team meetings or events is expected, with minimal travel overall.

Salary: $133,000–$173,000 annual

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and optimize data analytics solutions supporting Programming and the Biometrics infrastructure and analytics platform strategy.
• Develop, test, implement, and maintain packages, utilities, and macros that accelerate statistical programming of clinical trial data.
• Evaluate and pilot technologies, tools, and platforms for data analytics, visualization, automation, and standardization.
• Gather stakeholder requirements, propose technical solutions, create proof-of-concepts, and contribute to solution designs.
• Lead assigned technical implementations and manage initiatives, timelines, priorities, and risks with moderate supervision.
• Support clinical trial data storage, archival, retrieval, reporting, integrity, security, regulatory compliance, system upgrades, change management, CSV requirements, training, and user support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree such as an MS in a related discipline with 3+ years of experience in statistical programming and analytics within pharmaceutical or biotechnology clinical development.
• Strong proficiency in R is required, including familiarity with the pharmaverse and tidyverse ecosystems for clinical data analysis and reporting.
• Working knowledge of CDISC standards and clinical trial data structures, with the ability to develop and maintain reusable programming utilities, macros, and packages.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, deliver against agreed timelines, and escalate risks to management and stakeholders.
• Strong collaborative and proactive problem-solving skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, clarity, and accuracy.
• Forward-looking approach to identifying opportunities and contributing ideas for process and technical improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAS, Python, and R package development.
• Experience with version control such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
