Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: North Syracuse, NY, United States; onsite temporary full-time role through March 2027.

What you will do

• Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory targets, and available manufacturing capacity.
• Release, monitor, and update manufacturing work orders.
• Identify schedule risks, capacity constraints, and material shortages that may affect production.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, and Customer Service to communicate production priorities and ensure material availability.
• Track schedule adherence, support recovery actions for missed production plans, and communicate schedule changes in daily production meetings.
• Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data in the ERP/MRP system.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing business needs.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in an electronic, industrial, or discrete manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of MRP, inventory control, and capacity planning concepts.
• APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain training.
• Experience supporting S&OE or production execution processes.
