GPU Validation Engineer

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work. Regular onsite presence is required.

Annual salary: CAD 153,910–217,280.

What you will do

• Define, develop, and execute functional GPU validation plans covering media, display, and system-level features.
• Apply hardware and software tools to achieve validation coverage and performance, power, and area objectives.
• Develop GPU validation methodologies and post-silicon infrastructure, including performance monitors, behavioral checkers, and state-space coverage.
• Review design changes and assess their impact on validation plans, tasks, and timelines.
• Perform silicon debug, root-cause analysis, functional failure triage, and troubleshooting of GPU issues.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams; publish validation reports and communicate findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field, plus 6+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with SV/UVM-based pre-silicon validation focused on Security, RAS (Reliability and Survivability), boot, reset, power management, and memory functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex GPU issues.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, adaptability, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple validation tasks and timelines and work effectively under pressure.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience with AI-assisted verification.
• Experience driving pre-silicon validation as a technical lead and working as an individual contributor.
• GPU pre-silicon validation experience.
• Validation of Security and RAS verification for SoCs.
