Senior Technical Program Manager (Optical Networking)

Salary: $130,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end New Product Introduction onboarding programs for hyperscaler and strategic customers from concept through delivery.
• Define onboarding plans, milestones, dependencies, and commitments with Product Management, Engineering, NPI, Operations, Manufacturing, QA, Supply Chain, and Customer Delivery teams.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, manage escalations, and drive issue resolution across cross-functional teams.
• Align internal and external stakeholders, negotiate priorities, resolve conflicts, and manage expectations during critical program reviews.
• Maintain action trackers, governance cadences, weekly and executive reviews, and customer syncs to drive accountability and closure.
• Prepare executive dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and data-driven updates covering program status, risks, and milestones.

Requirements

• Strong experience with NPI or product onboarding programs and the ability to develop structured project plans and execute under ambiguity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence outcomes, intervene effectively, and steer discussions during challenging situations.
• Expertise in identifying program risks and driving mitigation strategies.
• Solid understanding of networking systems, including Layer 1 networking concepts; experience with optical DWDM technologies is preferred.
• Ability to work with engineering teams on system-level integration challenges.
• Strong written and verbal executive communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management and external customers.
• At least 5 years of Technical Program Management experience, 12–15 or more years in software and/or hardware product environments, and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
