Lead Financial Analyst - Capital Reporting (Hybrid) (Finance)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid with in-office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $94,000–$110,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert in capital reporting and provide insight into capital generation results.
• Develop management reporting and detailed financial analyses using data from accounting and information systems.
• Analyze historical performance, project future results, and communicate complex financial information to strategic and operational audiences.
• Support large cross-functional projects and collaborate across departments to resolve business issues.
• Own assigned processes end to end, coordinate inputs, resolve issues, deliver on time, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Provide leadership and direction to junior-level staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy, completeness, and analytical conclusions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a degree.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Thorough understanding of business and financial analysis concepts.
• Ability to resolve complex financial questions where requirements, data, or processes are not fully defined.
• Ability to adhere to the company’s internal control framework.

Nice to have

• One year of supervisory experience.
• Solid knowledge of accounting or finance in investments, insurance products, or premiums.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, and judgment skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and navigate ambiguity.
• Attention to detail, including identifying errors and inconsistencies in reviewed work.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Customer service mindset and ability to address employee issues in a timely manner.
