Forward Deployed Security Engineer, Sr (AI)

Location: Plano, Texas; must have the right to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Embed with security team leads, understand workflows and pain points, and identify high-value AI automation opportunities.
• Design and build multi-agent architectures for autonomous triage, cross-source correlation, and specialist security workflows.
• Implement RAG systems, prompt engineering patterns, evaluation frameworks, feedback loops, model routing, token monitoring, and cost controls.
• Own agent observability, including drift monitoring, hallucination detection, accuracy degradation tracking, failure-mode identification, and human-in-the-loop guardrails.
• Build API connectors for EDR/XDR, cloud security, API security, identity, and vulnerability-management tools; develop correlation engines, telemetry data pipelines, and security dashboards.
• Set engineering standards and advise security leadership by translating AI/ML capabilities into actionable security outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production systems, with strong Python and TypeScript fluency.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with LLMs in production or near-production contexts, including prompt engineering, RAG architecture, agentic workflows, or fine-tuning.
• Hands-on experience with security tool APIs, particularly EDR/XDR platforms.
• Strong AWS foundation covering S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, VPC, and familiarity with managed LLM services such as Amazon Bedrock.
• Understanding of security operations workflows, including alert triage, investigation chains, incident response, and threat-intelligence correlation.
• Experience translating business or operational problems into technical solutions, managing expectations, and delivering outcomes with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience building full-stack applications with API and frontend layers for multiple user groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Offensive security experience in red team operations, penetration testing, or vulnerability management.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks, cloud security posture management platforms, vector databases, or retrieval system design.
• Forward-deployed, solutions-engineering, or customer-embedded technical experience, or early-stage startup experience.
• MITRE ATT&CK knowledge and practical application to detection engineering.
• Experience building AI evaluation pipelines with automated metrics, human evaluation protocols, or A/B testing.
• Financial-services security or regulated-environment experience, including SOX or SOC 2.
• Experience with model-serving optimization, cost management, and token-usage monitoring.
