Reader Characterization Intern - Summer 2027

Location: On-site at the Normandale campus in the United States, spanning Edina and Bloomington. No travel required.

Estimated base wage: $27.00–$45.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Analyze tunnel junction noise behavior using real-time spectrum analysis.
• Analyze test results and connect findings to device physics.
• Contribute to the conceptual development and validation of new test methods.
• Develop metrology concepts and transform them into experiments.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a science or engineering Master's or PhD program and continuing studies in Fall 2027.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LabView and Matlab.
• Experience with high-frequency measurements using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
