Contract Lead MBNL (Telecommunications)

Location: Reading, United Kingdom, with a hybrid arrangement requiring office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month; the role also references Newbury.

What you will do

• Own contract management plans and act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with suppliers and strategic partners.
• Interpret contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities, providing clear guidance to operational stakeholders.
• Develop and manage governance and assurance processes covering contractual compliance, supplier performance, commitments, and performance measures.
• Lead contract change management, formal contractual communications, notices, change requests, disputes, and escalations.
• Report on contractual compliance, commercial performance, risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Network Design, Build, and Operations teams, as well as Finance, Legal, Procurement, Strategy, suppliers, and partners.

Requirements

• Significant experience in commercial contract, supplier, or strategic partner management within a technology-enabled business environment.
• Strong understanding of how technology, products, and services deliver strategic business value and operational outcomes.
• Ability to interpret complex contracts and provide pragmatic guidance on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities.
• Experience working with technical, operational, and strategy teams to support business objectives.
• Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate across Finance, Legal, and Procurement.
• Experience managing contractual governance, supplier performance, contract changes, disputes, and commercial risk.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, including confident engagement with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
