Supplier Relationship Manager

Location: Westlakes Business Park, Moor Row, Cumbria, United Kingdom; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Deliver procurement activities including market engagement, tendering, evaluation, and contract placement.
• Support procurement strategies, cost tracking, change processes, contract administration, and compliance.
• Build supplier and subcontractor relationships, coordinate engagement meetings, review performance, and track actions.
• Coordinate suppliers with commercial, procurement, quantity surveying, and project teams across mobilisation and delivery stages.
• Maintain auditable records in approved systems such as CEMAR and escalate supplier, procurement, and commercial risks.
• Contribute to value, efficiency, continuous improvement, and best-practice development across the supply chain.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles.
• Understanding of procurement processes, contracts, and supplier management.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and relationship management capability.
• Developing knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial principles.
• Ability to operate with increasing independence, apply judgement within defined frameworks, and deliver procurement and supplier engagement activities.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Business, or Supply Chain.
• Experience with CEMAR.
• Working towards a professional qualification such as CIPS or RICS.
