Material Flow Specialist (Supply Chain)

Location: Onsite in Mebane, North Carolina, United States of America. Candidates must have work authorization in the US.

What you will do

• Coordinate the flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Procurement, Production Planning, and Warehouse teams to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, JIT, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Improve receiving, storage, and shipping processes with Logistics and Supply Chain teams.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and process bottlenecks.
• Create and track KPIs for inventory accuracy, material availability, cycle times, and warehouse performance while ensuring safety, quality, and operational compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain.
• Understanding of inventory control, material planning, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, Just-in-Time, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Structured thinking, problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment, logistics processes, and warehouse best practices.
