Materials Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Blue Ops, Valdosta, Georgia, United States; onsite work involving large indoor and outdoor facilities. ITAR/EAR-restricted work requires proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence and no sponsorship requirement.

What you will do

• Ship finished products and aftermarket parts, receive materials, manage inventory, perform cycle counts, and maintain FIFO and kanban processes.
• Kit materials and deliver them to manufacturing while managing consumables and internal materials systems.
• Administer aftermarket parts and damaged or defective material processes to support customers and manufacturing response times.
• Execute assigned supplier component testing and validation processes and troubleshoot damaged products and shortages.
• Help design, create, and implement warehouse and materials areas, and work with Facilities and Manufacturing to distribute and control tools and equipment.
• Support efforts to reduce direct labor, material, and inventory costs while following safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Experience with ERP and materials management technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work safely.
• Confident computer skills using Microsoft solutions, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to use required PPE and work around noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during assembly processes; frequent computer and office-equipment use is also required.
• Availability for occasional off-hours or weekend work for emergency facility responses or projects.

• Familiarity with OSHA and other manufacturing practices.
