Software Engineer, DevEx & Tools (CI/CD)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Salary: $130,000–$280,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, operate, and continuously improve automated build, integration, test, and deployment pipelines with Software and GNC teams.
• Maintain software versioning, release management, configuration control, and artifacts across multiple deployment targets.
• Improve developer experience through tools, documentation, automation, templates, and self-service workflows.
• Develop containerized development, build, and test environments for engineers, CI runners, and HITL platforms.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management automation for CI, developer tooling, and HITL infrastructure.
• Investigate users’ engineering problems and create efficient solutions across software, build systems, infrastructure, and networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Software Productivity.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Experience with at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or Bash, used for automation and developer tooling.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.
• Experience with Linux systems, network configuration, and common networking protocols.
• Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills, including diagnosing issues across software, build systems, infrastructure, and networked environments.

Nice to have

• Experience improving developer experience, internal developer platforms, build systems, release engineering, or software tooling for a multi-engineer software organization.
• Experience maintaining C++ build systems, including dependency management, toolchain configuration, and cross-platform builds with CMake, Make, Bazel, or equivalent.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience building CI/CD systems that automate build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows for complex software systems.
• Experience packaging and supporting cross-platform SDKs or developer-facing software releases.
• Experience managing build configurations, versioned releases, and artifacts for multiple targets from a shared codebase, including release automation, SBOM generation, or software configuration management.
