Okta Engineer (Identity)

Location: London, UK; hybrid, typically 1–2 days onsite per week.

Salary: £500 per day, outside IR35.

hirify.global is supporting a leading organisation seeking an Okta Engineer for its Identity team.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Okta Workforce SSO integrations using SAML and OpenID Connect.
• Implement automated application provisioning and deprovisioning through SCIM.
• Support and improve joiner, mover and leaver processes.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorisation, account and access issues.
• Develop PowerShell and Terraform automation, operational identity dashboards, and Okta and directory data analysis.
• Maintain platform configurations, monitoring and technical documentation while collaborating with application owners, Cyber Security and operational teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering and supporting Okta Workforce.
• Strong understanding of SSO, SAML, OIDC, MFA and identity lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing SCIM provisioning.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace.
• Practical PowerShell scripting and Terraform experience.
• Experience building dashboards using BigQuery, Looker Studio or comparable data visualisation tools.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets.
• Understanding of DNS, SSL certificates and Okta security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to have

• CyberArk or other Privileged Access Management experience.
