Manager, Operations Management (Manufacturing)

Location: Chula Vista, California, United States; onsite, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Salary: $105,000–$196,000 annually for California and certain listed areas; other geographic salary ranges may apply.

What you will do

• Oversee mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations for assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Serve as Site Leader with responsibility for facility functions, facility sustainment, and employee safety.
• Communicate production goals and drive execution against delivery, schedule, work-order, and labor-utilization metrics.
• Ensure adherence to engineered assembly processes, quality standards, work instructions, routers, logs, training matrices, calibration requirements, and company procedures.
• Analyze production yields and failure trends, leading yield-improvement, Lean, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Lead, train, evaluate, and develop employees while maintaining performance records and delivering annual reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of experience, or a postgraduate degree and 7 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, at least 13 years of related experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in employee leadership and supervision.
• 7–13 years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to follow engineered assembly processes, maintain consistent quality and productivity, and train direct reports to meet the same standards.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and measurement systems.
• Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to identify and isolate problems and drive effective resolution.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and their functionality.
