Principal Program Manager (Cloud Streaming)

Location: Hybrid in San Mateo, California, United States; another listed location is San Diego, California.

Salary: $220,900–$331,300 USD base pay, with eligibility for a bonus package.

What you will do

• Lead geographically distributed, cross-functional teams delivering large-scale programs from strategy and definition through execution, launch, and ongoing value realization.
• Translate strategic objectives into program outcomes, priorities, milestones, success measures, governance structures, and execution plans.
• Connect business objectives, product strategy, technology delivery, and operational readiness while managing risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and decisions.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Design, Quality, Operations, Business, and external partners across organizational boundaries.
• Provide concise, data-driven visibility into program health, priorities, risks, and recommendations for senior leaders and executives.
• Improve scalable program management practices, simplify ways of working, and provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Program Managers and Technical Program Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex technology or consumer-facing programs across multiple functions and organizational boundaries.
• Experience leading programs in one or more areas including software, hardware, platforms, services, infrastructure, digital experiences, or business capabilities.
• Experience operating in complex and ambiguous environments and translating strategic objectives into executable programs.
• Strong experience establishing program structures, governance models, operating rhythms, and decision-making frameworks.
• Ability to identify and communicate risks, options, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leaders, and influence executives without relying on direct authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including simplifying complex information and focusing audiences on important decisions and outcomes.
• Experience using data, metrics, and measurable outcomes to assess program health, guide decisions, and evaluate impact.
• Strong critical thinking and judgment, experience mentoring or guiding program management professionals, and ability to work across diverse, geographically distributed teams and external partners.
