Senior Project Manager (Insurance)

Location: Remote within the United States; an in-person interview may be required during the hiring process.

Salary: USD $94,458–$179,048 per year, varying by state, experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Manage multiple development, infrastructure, and software acquisition projects from initial concept through final implementation.
• Lead cross-functional teams, serve as the primary project contact, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Develop project charters, plans using Microsoft Project, estimates, status reports, and project tracking processes.
• Conduct project meetings, resolve issues, and ensure delivery on schedule and according to quality standards.
• Manage vendor task integration and review vendor and project deliverables for acquisition projects.
• Provide project management guidance to technical teams and manage business sponsor expectations.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in a directly related field, such as Business Management or Computer Science.
• At least five years of directly related experience in project management, resource management, and/or project assessment techniques, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough knowledge of project management methodology, including project planning, tracking, reporting, risk management, and change management.
• Strong knowledge and skills using Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and Project.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, lead and motivate cross-functional teams, manage a team, and coach or mentor others.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and change, negotiate constructively, and resolve conflicts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional communication at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work a regular full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week and collaborate cordially with other employees.
