Senior Calibration Engineer (Thermal and HVAC)

Location: Coventry, United Kingdom; flexibility to work and travel across multiple projects and locations. Candidates must not require UK sponsorship.

What you will do

• Support powertrain and vehicle thermal development projects for internal and customer programs.
• Calibrate cabin comfort and HVAC systems across multiple customer projects.
• Process and analyze data, prepare reports, and provide clear technical recommendations to customer teams and management.
• Develop and manage powertrain processes and calibrations using hirify.global and customer calibration tools and methods.
• Plan and execute in-vehicle and rig testing, monitor project progress, and provide feedback.
• Support internal presentations, training, and knowledge exchange.

Requirements

• Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to summarize findings and make clear, data-supported technical recommendations across multifunctional disciplines.
• Excellent understanding of HVAC and thermal systems and cabin comfort calibration.
• Ability to work independently from high-level instructions, identify relevant information, and seek support from other engineering groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with hirify.global, customer, supplier, and global hirify.global teams.
• Flexibility to work and travel across multiple projects and locations.
• Experience with engine software or calibration development processes and working knowledge of calibration tools such as ETAS Inca and ATI Vision.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrification, including hybrid calibration, battery technology, or fuel cell technology, and awareness of future industry trends.
• Knowledge of calibration and data analysis tools such as hirify.global Concerto, CANape, hirify.global CAMEO, and DIAdem.
